So this year I want to rid myself of a few games, mainly of the video variety, for a bit of space, cash and because I have I just don't like or plan on playing again.
But this endeavour is new to me, so whatever advice or tips or whatnot would be greatly helpful. Some the questions I have include, what particular service do some of yall use, how do I determine price based on the game's condition, is there some sort of price guide like there is for comic books and such.

Whatever you do, don't sell them at pawn shops or used music/video stores. You won't get much credit/cash, and it'll be pennies to the dollar. If a game is still pretty new (within 6 months) and/or has a lot of popularity, you may get decent credit at Gamestop or similar locations. Some of them do "X number of games for Y credit" which isn't a bad way to go, either. You can always check Ebay to see if the games you have are rare and worth more than obvious market price, but usually at that point we're talking harder-to-find games for the most part. I've seen a lot of games that went on Saturn & Dreamcast go for $100+ dollars. (These guys up in Seattle tend to specialize in this stuff, so you may find some ideas here: www.pinkgorillagames.com/ ). Boardgames can give you a solid amount back if you have rare games, and www.boardgamegeek.com would be the place to check that out. Chris

Much appreciated. Especially the pinkgorilla link. And you're so right about the prices for Saturn & Dreamcast games, there's a number of them I badly want to play through legit rather than grey means.
Never thought about going the pawnshop route, and guess I won't either.
Gamestop I avoid almost completely these days for even used games. And my games up for grabs are nowhere near recent.
